The use of activated Folic Acid as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory provides many advantages when compared with analgesics (NSAIDs), because it is an excellent biocatalyzer and myelinic protector.
The use of activated Folic Acid avoids the inhibiting effects of analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs, given that these inhibit the DHFR (dihydrofolate reductase)and cause deficiencies in this vitamin.
The action of the different analgesics is based on a irreversible inhibition of the cyclo- oxygenases 1 and 2, without discriminating the two isoforms and producing toether with the desired anti- inflammatory and analgesic effects, a dysfunction in other tissues (kidneys, gastric mucosa, vascular endhotelium, uterine endometrium) as well as the formation of platelets.
